Mr. DeSantis represents both plaintiffs and defendants in litigation, arbitration, and appeals involving a wide range of civil matters. His practice includes state and federal trial practice, and appeals with a focus on complex commercial litigation, contested estate matters, wage and hour defense, and personal injury defense.

He is licensed to practice in both New York and New Jersey, as well as in all Federal Courts. Michael began practicing law in 2006 when he received his Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University, where he served as president of the Vanderbilt Bar Association. He received his undergraduate BS degree from Providence College.

Mr. DeSantis honed his skills at law firms in Manhattan and New Jersey for the better part of two decades before returning home to Staten Island.

Union Apparel Group, Ltd v. Thomas Lam, et al where he obtained a substantial judgment in favor of plaintiff in a fashion industry dispute before the Supreme Court, New York County Commercial Division.

Empire State Contracting and Design, Inc. v. One Main Construction Corp., et al where he obtained a sizable judgment on behalf of a subcontractor against one of Brooklyn’s most prominent developers in New York Supreme Court, Richmond County.

Leprechaun Dental, P.C. v. Online Computer Supplies, Inc. where he obtained a judgment notwithstanding the verdict and caused the Supreme Court, Richmond County to vacate a jury award against an IT provider.

Diab v. Luna Rosa Bake Shop, LLC where he obtained summary judgment dismissing all wage and hour claims against employer in New York Supreme Court, Richmond County; and

PID Floors, LLC v. Michael Bradley where he obtained specific performance of a commercial real estate contract in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Middlesex County, Chancery Division.
